Buena Vidauena Vida in Belgrade, Serbia, from Street Guys Hospitality is a 10,600-square-foot restaurant that dubs itself a Mexican Gastrobar. Designed by California-based BASILE Studio, this project was the team’s first in Serbia.

Located in a mixed-use commercial steel and glass structure, the design of Buena Vida mixes earth tones and tropical touches to create a timeless and modern restaurant.

The dining room features a custom-integrated booth system with hardwood brass inlay tabletops. Breeze blocks and live greenery provide the sense of being outdoors on a patio even while inside.

An open kitchen allows diners to view the preparation of what the restaurant calls heritage Mexican cuisine. Overhead, a wood lattice ceiling adds texture and aids in keeping noise down.

Expansive windows allow natural light to flood the space. Interior walls feature color and textured treatments. The far dining wall features a custom art installation developed by BASILE Studio and Inkiostro Bianco.
