Designed by Between the Walls, a firm based in Ukraine, Bon Bouquet Café sought to push the boundaries of traditional Parisian cafe aesthetics. Gone are the wicker furniture and classic lamps; instead, the 76-square-meter cafe features sleek and modern elements: outside, a milky facade with an understated logo and a roll-up glass window system; inside, a bright and playful pink and green oasis.

The project makes extensive use of micro-cement for the floor, benches, drawers and even the bar counter. It’s a durable material that provides ease of maintenance and a natural texture that complements the cafe’s biophilic vibe. The bright pink chairs and wall contrast beautifully with the lush green elements that adorn the cafe.

Acoustic foam was used to finish the ceiling, which helps insulate the cafe from the residential apartments above.

Deep inside, where daylight does not reach, the design team created a jungle-inspired atmosphere with shades of green, pink upholstered furniture and soft yellow lighting. The tactile bas-relief of lush, sculpted wild leaves adorning the walls was crafted by artist Mykola Nezdoiminoha. Lighting also played a key part — it had to work for the photo-friendly interiors and create a comfortable space to linger.

The design extends to the bathrooms — one pink, one green — that offer two distinct experiences.
