Illinois-based Greek restaurant, Avli, opened the doors of its first out-of-state location in Milwaukee this month. This latest unit is Avli's fifth location, with the first four located in the Chicago area.
Avli's team turned to Nike Demacopoulos at Chicago-based Gold Coast Interiors for the interior design of the newest location.
Demacopoulos' design scheme for Avli, which means courtyard in Greek, aims to bring the outdoors in. The newly renovated space features clean and contemporary decor with shades of white, wood and earth tones designed to evoke the experience of summer in Greece.
The restaurant features two floors of dining space and an outdoor terrace overlooking the Milwaukee River and downtown skyline.
