The Anecdote recently debuted at Kilroy Oyster Point, one of the largest life science developments in the United States.
A growing interest in development from biotech and life science companies in San Francisco led to the development of a 50-acre sustainable waterfront revitalization project dubbed Kilroy Oyster Point (KOP). KOP is a five-phased, 3 million square-foot project that will feature four distinct neighborhoods.
The Anecdote is a new 5,700 square-foot, two-story casual waterfront restaurant and bar with capacity for approximately 200 guests. It also has private dining and an open kitchen.
Designed by Seattle-based SkB Architects, the restaurant's waterfront footprint and geographical context informed the design direction and works of art. Elements such as rope detailing at various scales, buoy-inspired fixtures, and brass hardware are carefully layered to create an airy, laid-back environment.
