Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill, a Portland, Ore.-based gastropub, will open its first Texas location in September 2017 with a second planned for the summer of 2018.

The location will make its home in Irving at The Music Factory (rendering pictured), a 250,000-square-foot lifestyle and entertainment venue anchored by Live Nation Pavilion, an 8,000-seat indoor/outdoor amphitheater. Thirsty Lion’s Music Factory location will cover 7,747 square feet, including 2,124 square feet of outdoor seating.

The Thirsty Lion plans to open a second Texas location in the summer of 2018. This location will be at The Colony’s Grandscape, a large mixed-use development that features an outdoor amphitheater, a convention center, and a hotel. It will be Thirsty Lion’s first two-story location and will feature a second-floor bar, a patio on the roof, 5,000 square feet of outdoor seating and a 2,500-square-foot patio with lawn games.

Both locations will be designed by DPA Architects.

Texas is the fourth state for the growing gastropub, which launched in 2011, and has eight locations across Oregon, Arizona and Colorado. Thirsty Lion plans to open three more locations in 2018 and four in 2019.
