Tour the Design Trends

On June 10, restaurant development + design’s fourth annual Tour the Design Trends took a group of 60 architects, designers and consultants on a behind-the-scenes tour of some of the hottest new restaurants in Chicago.

The Tour kicked off with a breakfast and keynote discussion at the St. Jane Hotel – the newly renovated and rebranded space in the historic Carbide & Carbon building, former home of the Hard Rock Hotel. From there, a trolley tour took attendees around Chicago to four beautiful new restaurants that just opened within the last year. To get a better sense of the Tour, take a look at the images and descriptions below. You can also check out our past Tour’s from 20182017 and 2016.

Taking a page from craft beer bars that feature a variety of brews, Fairgrounds Craft Coffee and Tea showcases product from producers across the globe.

The accolades for Parts and Labor’s design of PST keep rolling in. PST has already garnered restaurant design honors from both the Jean Banchet Awards and the James Beard Awards.
