Shakey's Pizza Parlor has renovated its flagship store in Culver City, Calif. The redesign nods to the original ethos of the brand, which was originally established in 1954 as Shakey’s "Ye Public House.”

The legacy brand hopes to target a younger generation that "craves nostalgia and community," with a remodel that touts the 71-year-old brand's new slogan: “The People’s Pizza Parlor."

“This remodel is a tribute to the history, flavors, and memories that have made Shakey’s a cherished part of our guests’ lives for more than seven decades,” says John Tilly, creative visionary of Shakey’s USA. “We have evolved with each generation while staying true to the spirit of the pizza parlor, a place to relax, celebrate, and enjoy great food together.”

The refreshed location combines modern updates with retro signage that reads "The People’s Pizza Parlor," plus the kitschy charm of Shakey’s in the '80s, complete with curated 1980s music, retro-inspired decor and a video game arcade.
