Kase X Noko
Nashville, Tenn.
With design elements that draw inspiration from the rich cultural tapestry of Japan, Kase X Noko’s design offers a multilayered experience that resonates with diners. Designed by The Restaurant Studio, Kase’s 14-seat omakase and four-seat Japanese cocktail bar embodies the philosophy of Wabi-Sabi, or finding beauty in imperfections.
With a touch of timeless opulence, the serene and inviting space merges modern sophistication with dark and moody, natural elements with layered textures, handmade ceramic tiles and locally sourced woods.
Before or after dining at Kase, guests can grab a drink at Tennessee’s smallest bar, inspired by 1970s-era cocktail lounges in Tokyo’s red-light district.
Art plays a key role in the design, with classic Gyotaku art by Dwight Hwang lining the walls along with vintage photography showcasing Tokyo in the 1970s.
LED lights around the omakase bar create a warm glow, and the bar’s u-shaped design encourages guest interaction with each other and the chefs.
