Toca Madera

Houston
Global hospitality group Noble 33 opened its first restaurant in Texas and its fourth overall location of modern Mexican steakhouse Toca Madera. The Houston location spans nearly 14,000 square feet and includes an outdoor dining area, a private member’s club, a private dining room, two bars and a speakeasy.

Designed by Noble 33’s in-house design firm Monochrome, designers Cheryl Pavia and Jill O’Connor created a space with a cozy vibe and strong biophilic design principles. Bold architectural elements combine with warm finishes in handcrafted custom woodwork, velvet upholsteries and intimate lighting to set the scene.

A key design highlight, The Bird’s Nest, is an immersive art piece that encapsulates the lounge area in a nest-like structure and features a lush greenscape in addition to one-of-a-kind art pieces and a sweeping undulated wood slat ceiling.
