All anyone can talk about this week is branding, well, branding and Taylor Swift's engagement, but since I can't find a relevant entry point into that conversation, let's talk about the internet's second favorite topic: Cracker Barrel's logo.
Over the past week, Cracker Barrel debuted a simplified version of its logo that enraged the internet commentariat and became a political hot topic because everything is political now. Within days of the backlash, Cracker Barrel had reversed course and said its old logo would remain.
Alternatively, Swirlicious looks exactly how you'd expect. A new frozen yogurt brand opened in Newbury Park, Calif., offering sugar-sweet interiors.
The project, led by Mindful Design Consulting, offers an important lesson in cohesive branding. From logo and branding to interior design, space planning and commercial kitchen design, Swirlicious leans on its confectionery inspiration to deliver swirling graphics and bright pinks. The result is a cheerful, stylish and ultra-feminine destination for customers to indulge in frozen yogurt.
