Founded in Louisville, Ky., in 2017, Healthy James is a health-conscious “heat and eat” concept that offers meals, supplements, smoothies and fresh juices for people on the go. With three current locations, the chain is looking to expand and just signed a multi-unit deal with Rick and Kathy Pittenger of Modern Meals, LLC, to bring Healthy James to Knoxville, Tenn.
The Pittengers will head up the primary Knoxville location and the market expansion. “Healthy James gives us an opportunity to grow in multiple markets,” says Rick Pittenger. “My wife and I are committed to a healthy lifestyle, so partnering with Healthy James was a natural fit. We know the people of Tennessee will love this.”
Healthy James was founded by Jamie and Kevin Stich who saw the rise of meal prep and planning but knew how time consuming it could be. The chain offers a variety of meal options and adheres to diet plans including: paleo, keto, vegetarian and vegan. The chain offers takeout, delivery and catering.
The Pittengers will first start by developing a hub location and develop spokes from there.
