Outdoor dining has been a key trend in restaurant development and design for the last five years — and restaurant development + design readers overwhelmingly agreed it’s not going anywhere. A whopping 70% of readers surveyed in February said that outdoor dining remains a hot trend and will be part of their designs whenever space allows in both new builds and renovations.
Another 22% said that outdoor dining is part of their projects when it’s important to the client/operator. Finally, just 8% said outdoor dining isn’t as hot a trend as it once was.
