Boqueria opened a location in Atlanta’s Midtown neighborhood. It’s the chain’s 11th location systemwide. Located in a mixed-use development space, the design mixes modern day industrialism with Old World charm.
Boqueria turned to Alexis Nafisi of Adean Studios (formerly of AvroKO) to design the space.
Decorative metalwork and architectural elements reminiscent of Spain’s landmark Mercado de San Miguel welcome guests, ushering them through large archways that define each of the rooms. An elegant, dark color palette juxtaposes with the chain’s signature vibrant reds.
As an ode to traditional Spanish marketplaces, the design artfully displays retail products for sale via wall-mounted fixtures. An open kitchen seamlessly connects the front and back of the house, which includes a 118-seat dining room, a 36-seat bar area and 24-seat private dining space. The expansive patio lounge spills out from the 5,700-square foot space.
