The biggest challenge facing rd+d readers and their teams right now is the rising cost of labor and materials, according to 54% of survey respondents, per a pulse survey fielded in August.
Every other concern placed a distant second, as detailed here:
- 12% cited supply chain issues
- 9% called out state and local regulations
- 6% said technology woes
- 6% noted “fast-moving trends.”
The final 13% picked an array of concerns that included interest rates, decreasing foot traffic, lack of capital, and what they perceive as consumer reluctance to spend.
