Marco's Pizza debuted its new store design at a corporate-owned location in Boise, Idaho, this month. Its new look features both aesthetic updates and operational enhancements.

Operational enhancements include the integration of new equipment and technology. For instance, the brand is testing warming racks and pizza lockers that hold multiple orders of hot pizza with quick and secure access, designed specifically for pick-up and third-party delivery needs.

New pick-up door and pick-up window options and QR code/mobile access allow for a frictionless customer experience. Additionally, the strategic placement of beverage coolers for employees and customers is designed to increase add-on purchases.

"The new store design was meticulously crafted to cater to all audiences, ensuring both ergonomic and aesthetic enhancements," says Gerardo Flores, chief development officer of Marco's Pizza. "Every decision was made with cost-consciousness and effectiveness in mind, optimizing performance and support for our franchisees while delivering an exceptional experience for our customers. The prototype is also designed for varied real estate footprints including both end-cap and in-line, creating flexibility as we expand."
