Fresh Prototypes
- North Texas-based quick-service chain Dillas Quesadillas will debut a new drive-thru prototype in Ruston, La., later this summer.
- Layne’s Chicken Fingers has announced its newest prototype design, which seeks to reduce construction and operational costs and lower labor expenses.
Growth Chains
- Paris Baguette has gained 20 franchises, sold 47 units, signed 36 leases and opened 20 new bakery cafes across the U.S. so far in 2024.
- Nick the Greek has opened a new unit in Petaluma, Calif., keeping them on track to hit 100 locations systemwide by the end of 2024.
- Flight Club has signed a lease to open its first New York location. Scheduled to open in late 2025, Flight Club will take over a 10,700-square-foot former bank that spans both the ground floor and basement as well as a patio. This marks the ninth lease signed for the Flight Club brand in North America and will serve as a global flagship.
Popping up
- While the original location is currently closed, JAY-Z's lounge The 40/40 Club will be reimagined for an exclusive (read: VIP invitation only) lounge experience at next month's sports festival, Fanatics Fest NYC. Signature details like framed jerseys from the club's archive, grand chandeliers and stadium seating will all be brought into the Javits Center for the event. The 40/40 Club will reopen at a new venue in New York in 2025.
