The majority of rd+d readers said their bottom lines were the same or better than projected so far in 2023, as of an August pulse survey. When asked to compare projections to actual numbers, 50% of survey respondents said sales in 2023 are about the same as they had projected.
Happily, 25% of survey respondents said that their actual sales figures for 2023 were greater than they had projected.
Finally, the remaining 25% of respondents said their actual sales in 2023 were less than they projected.
rd+d’s ongoing research project periodically surveys qualified subscribers on the state of restaurant development and design. This survey was fielded in August 2023.
