Hart House, the plant-based quick-service restaurant founded by actor and comedian Kevin Hart, opened its third location in Los Angeles, Calif., which features the brand's first-ever drive-thru.
The new location, which was formerly a McDonald’s, boasts a 2,130-square-foot space with 24 interior seats and 16 outdoor seats. This location's architecture and interior design were developed by MAKE Architecture, and Nicollete Santos was tapped for the restaurant's interior graphic art. The design team chose to feature a fresh and vibrant visual palette as a nod to the brand’s plant-based menu. A neon sign reading “Eat Your Hart Out,” is displayed beside the ordering counter.
Additionally, Hart House commissioned artist Olivia Sawai to create a mural along a wall in the drive-thru. The property has also been newly landscaped with the preservation of existing palm trees and a rainwater retention system that recycles water so it can be used for future landscaping.
