Black Bear Diner, a bear-themed family-dining concept, has announced its entrance into the Dallas market with the opening of its newest diner in Mesquite. The opening is the company’s first of five Texas openings and marks the brand’s 12th location in the state, following recent openings in McAllen and Pasadena.

“Our entrance into Dallas is a large milestone for our company as we continue our statewide expansion in Texas.” says Anita Adams, CEO of Black Bear Diner. “The Mesquite diner is our latest converted building location, and a great representation of our versatile approach to opening new diners through both ground-up and conversion strategies. To date we have converted 14 different building layouts to a Black Bear Diner.”

Beyond Texas, Black Bear Diner plans to open one location in California, and one restaurant in Utah before the end of 2022. All new locations will be a combination of conversions and ground up builds that will incorporate recent design enhancements to better accommodate off-premises dining. With these openings, the company plans to finish 2022 with 11 new diners opened.
