Great Harvest Bakery Cafe plans to open seven locations in 2021. When the new locations open in Alaska, New York and Texas, the chain’s reach will span 10 states.

Most recently, the chain opened in Woodbury, N.Y. The store marks Great Harvest’s first location in the New York City metro area. Franchisee Nimesh Patel owns and operates the unit. Patel introduced the Montana-milled wheat concept to the Big Apple in June and plans for additional locations in the Long Island area.

Additional cities with Great Harvest locations in development include Summerlin, Nev.; Boulder, Colo.; American Fork, Utah; Peoria, Ill.; Elkins, W.Va. and Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Last year, Great Harvest Bakery Cafe opened 5 locations and the company accepted 18 signed franchise agreements that will produce a mix of single-unit and multi-unit hub-and-spoke models over the next few years.
