La Madeleine has partnered with Walmart to bring its new Express prototype to 10 of the superstore’s locations in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex. The chain expects to open its first la Madeleine Express in Garland, Texas, in July. The remaining nine locations will open shortly thereafter.

The la Madeleine Express prototype features a smaller footprint, ranging from 980 to 2,209 square-feet. The Express units will offer a grab-and-go experience as well as a dine-in option. The menu will feature fan favorites like la Madeleine’s chicken Caesar salad and tomato basil soup, and some new items, like pizzas, specially created specifically for Walmart locations. In addition, each Express will have a small retail area where guests can purchase some of their favorite menu items and discover new offerings, such as soups, jams and sauces.

“We look forward to making it even more convenient for the DFW community to enjoy the la Madeleine experience, while also introducing our French comfort food to Walmart shoppers that are looking for more diverse dining choices,” says la Madeleine CEO Lionel Ladouceur.
