Fast-growing Shipley Do-Nuts has signed a development deal with Charlotte-area franchisees John and Lillian Brijeski to open the brand's first North Carolina locations.

Founded in Texas in 1936, Shipley Do-Nuts has been selling doughnuts since 1936. They have 341 stores with a goal of opening 25 to 30 more this year, and likely 40 to 50 per year following that. Shipley is rapidly expanding throughout the South and Southeast and opened its first shops in Maryland and Georgia this year.

John and Lillian Brijeski plan to open three locations in the Charlotte, N.C. area, starting with the first in Concord, N.C. expected to open in Q4 of 2024.
