The Counter, a full-service premium burger concept founded in 2003, recently opened its first location in Japan in Tokyo’s Roppongi district.
The Tokyo design features a central counter to order custom-built burgers as well as shakes, fries, tater tots and craft beer.
In addition to its newest opening in Tokyo, the chain plans to continue its expansion efforts in U.S. markets in Northern California and Arizona as well as new units in Mexico City and Glasgow, Scotland.
The chain also has a fast-casual spin-off called BUILT, which debuted in Los Angeles in 2013, and recently opened its fourth location in Toronto Pearson International Airport.
