Fast-casual chain Baja Fresh opened its latest restaurant in Sherwood, Ore., an expanding suburb of Portland.

Designed by San Francisco-based Tesser, the 2,800 square foot restaurant features a distinctly new, laid-back but contemporary design that incorporates the use of natural recycled woods, stone and warm colors throughout. The space also features a more accommodating family friendly seating plan with larger tables. The Sherwood location is also the first Baja Fresh in the U.S. to serve craft beer.

Phil and Lisa Haberthur, franchisees who currently operate seven Baja Fresh restaurants in Oregon, Washington and Idaho, opened this location in partnership with David and Rebecca Bristol.
