Harrisburg, Penn.-based sports bar concept Arooga's signed its fifth multi-unit franchise agreement. Cordell Toson, president of Enterprise Capital Partners, has agreed to open at least four locations in New Jersey's Union and Somerset Counties.
Tolson's 31-year career has been spent primarily in the communications, includes stints at AT&T and Avaya. He also co-founded communications firm Empire technologies, which he later sold. According to Arooga's, Tolson is now "leveraging his experience to invest in business and real estate."
This marks Arooga's second franchise deal in New Jersey. Previously, the chain signed an agreement with Jersey Wings Unlimited to open six stores in the Monmoth, Middlesex and Ocean County areas.
Arooga's currently has nine company-owned stores, all in Central Pennsylvania, as well as one franchised location near the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Conn. With the latest franchise agreement, the chain has deals in place for 38 franchised locations.
