Konala, a better-for-you fast-food franchise, has signed a new 25-unit development agreement covering 10 locations in Northern Utah and 15 in the greater Boise, Idaho market. The deal is led by Speedy Foods LLC.

Konala was founded in 2023 by Trace and Jammie Miller, and its compact, drive-thru-focused model was well-suited for franchising.

Since launching franchising with Fransmart in September 2024, Konala has expanded quickly, signing 40 franchise units with experienced operators across Utah, Idaho, New Jersey, Philadelphia, and California, and is on track to reach nearly 50 units in development by year’s end.

The brand is also growing its corporate footprint, opening a Spokane, Wash. location this year and securing leases for additional locations in Spokane (near Gonzaga University) and Reno, Nev., set to open in 2026, along with franchise locations planned for Provo, Utah, and Belleville, N.J.
