Readers of restaurant development + design were split on what their biggest challenge at work is right now — but staffing and inflation were key concerns, with 32% of the vote total each. Another 20% of readers note that construction costs represent their biggest challenge at work right now.

An additional 6% noted that technology hurdles presented their biggest work challenge right now.

For the remaining 10%, the challenges were varied but included tariffs, “uncertainty all around given the political climate,” fears of a recession, and finding clients “with realistic budgets and timeframes.”
