Bar Louie opened its first airport location at Terminal D at Dallas-Ft. Worth International Airport. This location operates in partnership with Paradies Lagardère.
The development team took over an existing restaurant space, something the full-service bar and restaurant chain often encounters. In its traditional locations, Bar Louie often converts existing restaurant spaces, which typically translates to lower investment costs than ground-up development. Nearly half of the locations in Bar Louie’s portfolio were conversions from either former restaurant or retail spaces, per a release.
“When presented with this opportunity in the airport it was a natural,” says Chris Devlin, sr. vice president of new business development for Bar Louie. “We worked with Paradies Lagardère construction and operations teams to come up with a layout and menu that utilized existing assets but still maintained the Bar Louie brand elements.”
