Hooters Opens First Location in Guadalajara

Hooters opened its first location in Zapopan, Mexico, led by franchisee Hooters de Mexico. The Guadalajara location marks the seventeenth Hooters restaurant for the franchisee.

Anithero Brings Izakaya to Detroit

Working Class Outlaws’ new concept, located in suburban Detroit, is inspired by Japan’s izakayas — informal bar-focused restaurants where small plates are served. Antihero boasts a minimalist design with Blade Runner-inspired murals.

A World View: Mean Noodles, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong

Mean Noodles — a play on the idea of “a mean bowl of noodles” and on the fact that “mean” sounds like the word for “noodles” in Chinese — is a marriage of food and design from openUU, a Hong Kong-based design firm.
