The first NBC Sports Grill & Brew is set to open this November in the Universal CityWalk dining, retail and entertainment complex in Orlando.
The new concept is designed to celebrate and showcase the network's award-winning sports coverage in a stylish setting with wall-to-wall sports coverage and some special design features, including 90 big screens and a high-definition screen across its exterior front that's more than 100 feet wide.
Ric Florell, senior vice president and general manager, resort revenue operations, said the two-level restaurant will seat more than 500 guests and have a flexible layout to accommodate a variety of types of dining occasions and group events. A highlight will be the central open kitchen with flame kettle grills. Cameras will capture some of the cooking action, which will be shown on the restaurant's monitors, as well.
