Double drive-thru pioneer Checkers & Rally’s signed four multi-unit deals with franchisees on the East Coast as part of an aggressive expansion plan.
The chain signed a six-unit deal in Rhode Island, marking the 26th state where the company has locations; a five-unit deal in Maryland; a five-unit deal in South Carolina and a five-unit deal in Georgia. These deals come on the heels of the chain’s previously announced news of accelerated growth on the West Coast, including a 15-unit development agreement in Orange County.
The Checkers & Rally's brands have operated double drive-thru restaurants with walk-up windows and patio seating only for more than 35 years. The company recently rolled out an e-commerce lane to meet the needs of delivery drivers and guests who order ahead, and have more tech-driven store model initiatives rolling out in the near future, per a release.
