Pokéworks signed its first master franchise agreement to take the fast-casual chain outside the U.S. and into Mexico.
Initial plans call for units in Mexico cities such as San Luis Potosi, Ciudad de Mexico, Guadalajara as well as the Bajio region of West North-Central Mexico.
A newly-formed restaurant investment group, OPERADORA RAU of Credian – a global financial institution, will lead Pokéworks Mexico expansion. OPERADORA RAU also oversees the daily operations of multiple restaurant chains, including several Wingstop, Circus Park and Berlitz Language franchises, among others.
Pokéworks, founded in 2015, has nearly 20 locations open and more than 120 under development.
