Multi-concept operator Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR) plans to debut two new concepts in its home market of Columbus, Ohio, next year. The yet-to-be-named concepts include a polished-casual grill and an upscale-casual steakhouse.

The company's first "American grille" is slated to open in February. It will feature a modern take on classic American cuisine and offer an extensive variety of starters, flatbreads, prime steaks, rotisserie roasted chicken and "knife & fork" sandwiches. A 200-bottle wine list, cocktails and craft beers will complement the menu. Interior highlights include an exhibition kitchen, walnut and cherry woods, comfortable leather booths and unique light fixtures.

The steakhouse, which will feature an early American design, is scheduled to open later in the spring. Situated on three acres, it will include a large dining room, an in-house butchering room, a bake shop, an extensive Bourbon Lounge, and an expansive terrace overlooking a creek and manicured grounds. The menu will showcase Black Angus steaks, house-smoked ribs and chicken, with family-sized sides for sharing. Fresh, local produce and house-made desserts will round out the menu.

CMR operates 18 restaurants under 8 concepts, including Cameron's American Bistro, Cap City Fine Diner & Bar, M, Marcella's, Martini Modern Italian, Mitchell's Ocean Club (Ocean Prime), Molly Woo's Asian Bistro, The Pearl and Cameron Mitchell Premier Events in Columbus.
