Sweetgreen Enters New Market
Sweetgreen opened its first location in the Windy City in River North on August 23. The 2,300-square-foot space features an open kitchen, communal bleacher seating and local art by Cody Hudson.
Krispy Kreme Returns to the Chicago Market
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts announced its official return to Chicagoland after a seven-year hiatus and amidst a continuing artisan doughnut shop trend. The shop, operated by franchisee Chicagoland Restaurants, LLC, in Homewood, Ill., is scheduled to open in November.
