Fast-casual Italian chain Fazoli's has opened its fifth c-store location. The chain's latest c-store operation is part of a Kwik Stop in Dubuque, Iowa. The chain already has c-store locations in Colorado, Indiana, Tennessee and West Virginia. An additional location is under construction in central Indiana.
The chain also announced that it has designed and is currently building a new prototype store. The stand-alone restaurant is set to open in Macon, Ga. in spring 2016.
When completed, the building will measure 2,800 square feet and have seating for 100. Design elements include a 35-foot tower, improved lighting to make the building more visible at night, and prominent placement of the chain's tomato logo.
