For the first time in its history, Dog Haus plans to expand internationally. The fast-casual chain will enter Mexico through a partnership with HAK Capital & Brand Management via a development deal that calls for the opening of at least 20 restaurants across the country. The agreement marks a major milestone for the concept that boasts a menu of burgers, brats and brews as it launches its global growth strategy.

The opening of a flagship Dog Haus restaurant this summer in Mérida, Yucatán, aligns with the timing of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Mérida, a fast-growing culinary and cultural hub located near the ancient Maya city of Chichén Itzá, is known for its vibrant food scene, strong tourism and high quality of life — making it an ideal entry point for the brand in Mexico, according to the chain.
From there, Dog Haus plans to expand into Mexico City, Tijuana, the Riviera Maya, and Monterrey.
The Mexico agreement comes as Dog Haus enters its 15th year of operation with its largest development pipeline to date, per a release. Since opening its first location in Pasadena, Calif., in 2010, the brand has grown to more than 50 locations.
