This issue of rd+d comes just in time to remind you of a whole slew of exciting upcoming events.

Headed to Chicago for the National Restaurant Association Show? If so, we would love to see you. Meet me in the Kitchen Innovations Showroom on Sunday, May 20, beginning at noon, and on Monday, May 21, beginning at 11:00 a.m. This event, produced in coordination with our sister publication, Foodservice Equipment & Supplies magazine and the National Restaurant Association, will feature some great panelists sharing their best insights into foodservice equipment trends, innovation and the shape of the industry with rd+d’s Editorial Director Joe Carbonara.

June means it’s time for Tour the Design Trends. Join us on June 11 for this fun and informative event that we’re producing in conjunction with our friends at the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). The tour itself will feature a behind-the-scenes tour at some of the hottest restaurants in Chicago with insights from the operators and designers who helped bring them to life.

Finally, from September 10-12, we’ll be at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel for the second iteration of what we are calling FED Talks — also known as the Foodservice Equipment & Design Global Thought Leadership Summit — where we will host succinct presentations on topics relevant to readers of both of our publications. Since the full name of the summit is actually slightly longer than any one of the individual presentations, we’ve taken to calling it FED Talks. The inaugural event, held in 2016, was very well-received, and we are excited to present a new cast of industry thought-leaders for this cross-channel, cross-function event featuring operators, architects, designers, dealers and consultants meeting in an intimate, low-key forum. Go to FEDthoughtLeadership.com for details.

We had a record audience of nearly 700 people tune in to our recent webcast on bar design, a joint effort between FE&S and rd+d. Sorry you missed it? Well, you didn’t! Watch it on demand — and continuing education credits may apply.

It’s going to be an action-packed next few months: Let’s get to it!
