Claudie in Miami, designed by OV & Co. in collaboration with Lázaro Rosa-Violán, channels the timeless allure of the South of France through its layered, immersive design.

Rooted in the brand's mantra of “Carpe Diem,” the space invites guests to seize the day in a coastal French setting, an environment that feels transportive yet approachable, an interpretation of Riviera living filtered through a modern lens.

A central challenge for the design team was reconciling intimacy with artistic pomp. Artistic and styling choices were inspired by figures such as Jean Cocteau, Henri Matisse and Pablo Picasso. The space needed to feel expressive and visually compelling without sacrificing warmth. This balance is achieved through a restrained material palette that includes stone flooring, textured stucco walls and exposed wooden beams. The neutral color scheme allows guests to take in the full grandeur of key design features while the space remains cohesive.

Signature elements include a sculptural central light fixture that symbolizes the “Cuisine of the Sun,” a mural by Victoria Tentler-Krylov, and a water feature inspired by Alhambra motifs that reinforce the restaurant’s cultural and geographic influences. These elements anchor the space in a broader narrative of art, history and place, enriching the guest experience through subtle yet intentional references.

The design team paid close attention to spatial configuration. By leveling the footprint to a single continuous grade, the design dissolves physical and visual barriers between the dining room and terrace, creating a fluid, Riviera-style experience. At the heart of the outdoor space, a rounded bar and fountain evoke the convivial energy of a village square, reinforcing Claudie’s ambition to feel less like a restaurant and more like a lived-in destination.
