La Tête d'Or, an upscale steakhouse by French chef and restaurateur Daniel Boulud has opened at One Madison Avenue in Manhattan’s Midtown South neighborhood.
The 12,000-square-foot restaurant is situated on the ground floor of One Madison Avenue, a 1.4 million-square-foot office tower that was completed in 2024.
With design led by Rockwell Group, La Tête d'Or is reminiscent of the Art Deco era. Construction firm JT Magen was tapped to manage the design-build of the project.
With 18-foot ceilings, the soaring dining area seats 120 and features plush banquettes, a curved bronze quartzite-topped bar and leather- and wood-clad walls. The parquet wood flooring, stone and tile were imported from Italy. Custom light fixtures and custom furniture were fabricated internationally. A focal point of the space is a custom metal artwork that hovers above the wood-burning grill.
“The best way to describe it is totally exquisite. La Tête d'Or is a true work of art, a result of extensive and skilled coordination with the client, design teams, and tradespeople,” says Charles Russo, a project manager at JT Magen. “We are pleased to deliver this unique hospitality offering for SL Green Realty Corp. Building off of our decades of expertise in the commercial interiors and retail sectors, JT Magen is in a unique position to expand its work in the hospitality sector.”
