While it’s become common to see food trucks make the move to brick and mortar locations, food trucks continue to become a source of revenue and a brand extension for chain and independent restaurant operators alike.

CluckTruck1Such is the case with the 130-year-old Bavarian Inn Restaurant in Frankenmuth, Mich. The Bavarian-themed tourist town’s iconic restaurant introduced its new mobile option, called the Cluck Truck, to aid in its busy tourist season and to bring the flavors of the Frankenmuth location to various events around Michigan.

“Our catering division has been growing substantially and the Bavarian Inn Cluck Truck will be an additional way we can serve our guests outside our traditional buildings. We have been researching food trucks for a couple of years and thought launching a food truck was a fun way to celebrate Bavarian Inn Restaurant’s 130th Anniversary,” says Amy Zehnder Grossi, Bavarian Inn Restaurant General Manager.
