Better burger chain Smashburger announced that is has partnered with HMSHost to open three new airport restaurants.
These stores' locations will be:
- Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport
- Charlotte Douglas International Airport
- San Jose International Airport
The Houston and San Jose locations are set to open in this year, while the North Carolina restaurant will begin operating in 2016.
The chain has already opened multiple non-traditional locations this year, including at airports and casinos. All told, it should have 18 non-traditional units either operating or under construction within the next year.
These stores have smaller footprints and menus than traditional locations. In addition, Smashburger said it has "upgraded the finishes of the restaurants to appear more modern with warm and inviting tones and colors."
