Since the launch of its new prototype building and design in 2013, Hooters of America has been on an aggressive path to remodeling its company restaurants.

Before the year is out, Hooters will complete its 50th corporate-store remodel and franchisees will complete another eight restaurant remodel projects.

The new look includes interior and exterior design enhancements, with a focus on "contemporary comfort that matches the fun-loving persona of the brand." From more comfortable seating with revamped high back chairs and booths, to sleek finishes and top-of-the-line AV packages, it's designed to enhance the guest dining experience. The remodel also includes a more vibrant, centrally located bar area, offering a wide selection of cocktails and craft beers.

Hooters plans to continue its remodel initiative, with an average of 30 company locations targeted each year over the next five years. The company is continuing to expand new development, as well. It expects to open 12 new franchise locations in 2014 and at least 20 in 2015.
